I was trying to save it to "My Documents" folder (picture 1) but I still get the same error message. Picture 2 is the output window. I tried both C:\Users\dyno\My Documents and C:\\Users\dyno\My Documents.
Thanks
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Most likely that path does not exist. Take out the word "My", is my guess, based on you using Windows 7.
Launch Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer), and see if you can browse to the path. You need to use a valid path. This is just Windows stuff, nothing to do with this tool or NinjaTrader.
Stem1 - Give me a second to change some code and I'll post it back here for you to test. Leading a Filename with a '$' is a no-no I believe, so I'll change that to a lower case 'c'. It currently does a similar thing for indexes where the default '^' is changed to an 'i' automatically.
Found the problem- its "C:\Users\win7\Documents". I re-imported the original Export data strat and tested it, they both work. I have $AUDJPY_1_Minute and cAUDJPY_1_Minute in my Documents folder. Thanks guys.
Not significant enough to warrant an update in the Downloads section, but here you go in case you want to stay on the bleeding edge of my code development .
I import your strategy, apply it to a chart (while confirming the correct dir), then see the strategy at the top of the chart BUT I can never find a file. I disable the strategy and then look for a file but NOTHING. What am I not doing correctly? I've spent hours on this.
I opened an output window. I have a four day 1-minute chart of ES open. I apply the strategy. Nothing happens in the window. What are the steps you take to get a CSV file from a chart?
