Going to take sometime off to work on my discipline problem. I'll also need to pack up stuff to get ready for moving before July as well as looking for an evening &/or weekend job once we move to a new place. Vancouver BC is where we're moving to. It'll be a long drive for about 3000 miles or (4900km) from here.
My wife has a small online business job which I can't depend on her to support me financially. So, my best solution is to find a part-time job to work while trying to work this thing out.
I'd say trading is hard enough without having the pressure of "must make money from trading soon" that you might be placing yourself under.
Get a part time job or better yet a full time job, and work on trading part time. Make sure you show success for 6-12 months (at least) with part time trading before even considering doing it full time.
I used to make about 2000 grants (approx. $1500 usd) a week from my previous jobs doing nothing in the office. For years I can't even generate 2000 grants a month with this trading thing. No matter how much efforts I put in for the last few years to make it work. I guess my trading mentality is hitting the wall.
Maybe like you said, it's better to trade part-time while working full time for now since my setups only appear few times a week. Speaking of which, my personal account was positive again last week, after my itchy finger caused a big loss. With a job and stable income, I guess I'll improve my trading patient level from there.
With HR finally approved, my former boss is welcoming me back to his IT department in July. That means, I'll move back to Toronto Ontario instead of moving to Vancouver BC. Welcome back to boring working life and all I've to do is to stare at the blue screen all day.
In the meantime, I'm going to give myself another try on E2T's TCP combine while trading my personal account. What makes all the difference this time is I've better trading mentality.
I spent the past year extremely busy working for a full time job while continuing mastering my trading skills, especially becoming more discipline. I've seen some good progresses recently and therefore, I'm deciding it's time to come back to this journal to give myself another shot.
I'm still using E2T to trade for now until I'm able to withdraw money from them so I can fund my own personal trading account.
I started to trade my funded account since Feb. 22.
I've been more careful to trade this funded acct than the trading combine. Speaking of which, it has been three weeks and I only make ~$2000 so far....
Once I'm able to generate >$3000, I'll withdraw the profit and E2T will upgrade my account to TCP100.
Please notes that I won't be able to post much in this journal as I've to work in the afternoon and busy to trade in the morning.
