the donchian channel can be used in a variety of ways - one other method is trendline changes - u can see where i anchor the trendline using the green arrows - not only did we have a horizonal break of the DC but a break diagonally at the same time
Reminds me of Darvas boxes (been reading his book lately, fun little journey he went through)

TAJTrades
It is a break out method. For a Buy Enter 2 Ticks above the Highest High of the Last 5 Bars after the Mongoose lines turns up (Green on my charts). Absolutely nothing fancy or tricky about what they are doing.
I am manually drawing those entry lines. Will put together an AutoTrader this weekend. Again, I am NOT convinced that this method is a candidate for Auto Trading on a Live Account. But then again I have never found a strategy that I would consider cranking up.
Any news on this? I was working on someting similar lately.

Viper is supposed to be coming out with a "Better Version" of there auto trader. The current one is not doing very well or so I have heard. Will be offering a 2 week trial. And NO I am not recommending or affiliated with them. But I am curious to see it their auto trader beats my knockoff version of the Viper that I created.
I am not an autotrader person myself. But the autotrader they are selling isn't an autotrader of Viper, but a blackbox, which is another reason I am not interested.

Interestingly you are right on the trend about the "buy after here", but in reality, while your indicator points to "buys", they are in fact not buy's based on the whole Viper system.

Too much fun! I did some tweaking, added a couple of things and came up with my Texas Rattlesnake, simply called, "The Rattler"!
