It seemed to me that the lack of attached chartbook was the key to the dispute. You wanted them to analyze something in your way and were sticking you heels in the mud and insisting it be with pictures.
I started my reading of the thread ant 15:08 CT and completed it around 15:29 - so 21mins.
For all my time and considered response you didn't even click the Thank-you button nor say thank-you.
My time is valuable - at least to me. So for me no thank-you from you show disrepect to me and lack of common courtesy.
Foolishly, I thought you were really asking a question and wanted feedback as to whether you were misreading things. This thread has continued though it doesn't seem you have benefited by my post nor really reflected on whether a different approach would service you better in the future.
You claim "simply overlooked attaching it'.
really what this is saying is that you had the disrespect not to read Sierra request and didn't bother to read it.
Bottom line is you didn't respect their time and didn't respect mine.
(SC has proven to be a very solid platform and makes the NT look like junk.)
Not agree, we are a trading forum why not discuss this here to share and also to call Sierra support in? Is not the first time this happens, and the other time, posting here worked to figure out SC support was wrong!
So welcome this kind of thread.
OK, having used almost any platform commercially available for retail traders over 30 years, I must say that none is perfect. They either have a good product with a terrible customer service or a bad product but they kill you nicely (there are a couple of exceptions though). As they say, they dazzle you with brilliance or baffle you with B S.
Big Mike, I think a good project would be a comparison of software, data, services, etc. on this board based on user input, something similar to the annual TASC survey ratings.
btw, Can anyone please explain with 3 reasons why I should switch to Sierra Charts, considering what other services offer.
I can't. But I can give you the one reason that tempts me to switch from NT to SierraCharts, though I've never done so.... C++
I now have an experience and code base in NT I hesitate to give up. But if I was starting fresh I'd choose SierraCharts for no other reason than that I'd choose C++ over C#.
For anyone who does not already know C++ (I'm an expert in it), I think C# provides the easier learning curve.
Thanks @fluxsmith, I too am frustrated with NinjaTraders' hangups and install/re-installs, but have invested lots of time in learning the ins and outs of it and a little simple C#. My favorite platform is still TradeNavigator, no problems at all for almost 3 years with lots of professional features and an excellent support team. However, for all back testing I am still using Metastock since their early DOS version.
I do not have a thank you button, perhaps because I am the originator of the thread. The question was intended to be rhetorical so people could draw their own conclusions, but I would like to thank everyone who responded, I believe the general consensus is clear and hopefully it will benefit other SC users in the future. I had no intention of offending anyone on futures.io (formerly BMT).
OP cannot see Thanks button on a Q&A thread like this one -- this is by design so OP selects an "Answer" post instead. This is true of all questions submitted via home page Q&A panel.
