Canadian made sci-fi pilot that only made it to DVD in 2007. Kind of a mix of Babylon 5 effects, Space: 1999 story and too fantastical elements, and some Star Trek. Decent sci-fi concepts but some horrible execution and flaws. Full movie here:
Been watching Kitchen Nightmares non stop for days...or at least when I have time each day.....
I am fascinated by the reasons these restaurants fail. 99% of the time its the owner not willing to accept responsibility for the food or the service or the cleanliness of the restaurant and their refusal to change. And it takes harsh confrontation most of the time to shock them out of it.
Unfortunately, most of the time its too late. Most of the restaurants Ramsey helps fail anyway. They let it go far to long before they asked for help. Some make it. And they are grateful for his help but after watching probably at least two dozen episodes over the last month, I can tell you its made a serious impact on me with regards to my trading.
Some key take aways:
1. You must have passion for your profession.
2. You must not lower standards.
3. Accept personal responsibility for everything.
4. Perfection is the goal.
5. Work your ass off...but do it smart.
All common sense stuff but so often we fall into the trap of violating one of these areas. Especially the one about taking responsibility for everything as the owner. This one is the key to all the rest....

The show "Restaurant Impossible" is similar and also great if you want to try it out. It would be cool if they had a show about these guys coming out and helping new traders fix their problems haha

I watch that one as well but I like Kitchen Nightmares better....I think its all the cussing or perhaps the confrontational style he uses to get people to wake up....not sure why really but my kid told us today she felt like "getting all Chef Ramsay" on someone that called her a name! Hows that for influence!
