I add to UniRenko bar type an option of offset = 0 ticks (previous close = current open)
To enable it, "Tick Open Offset" property must be 98, I guess no one is using such value
Technically it was easier to use value other than zero.
Universal renko is a great bars to use for a automated strategy development , takes away side noise . But since beginning of the bar doesnt have a fix values its makes the back test a bit tricky. So for settings 2-4-16 -offset- trend- reversal --- what would be appropriate slippage # to have realistic back test results /???
Thanks in advance
There are a couple of bugs from prior version of Unirenko:
1. On some reversal areas Unirenko loses the high Tick or the Low Tick. (See picture).
2. The last tick of the bar is also missing. (See picture).
Hope one day you find some time to correct them.
@options, I would say that the slippage would be the value of the trend. For your example "for settings 2-4-16 -offset- trend- reversal" it would be 4 ticks.
Very nice chart aligator, that's a good looking setup! I just discovered renko recently, and wow! I might be able to actually start making winning trades now
Does anyone have recommendations for indicators/filters to use with renko? DMI/ADX and Laguerre MA both seem promising. I'm new to this, so any help is greatly appreciated!! Thank you in advance.
