up 500 per the ladder chart using 1 contract today -does not count reduction for commision cost - but that 12 tick mistake would have added 30% to my total -huge % mistake today 500 should be 650
thanks -part of the problem is i am computerly challenged and the screen shots may come from other computers -depending on what our setup is today -
but thankyou for the info
last evening I had a 45 min skype chat with john2000 -this is a chart in response to our conversation -basically about charting sideways uptrends -
the chart shown is tuesday for about 1 hour in time from 10:20 est
1- is long signal
2-short signal with price bar @ the ma trendline cross -short would be in the area of 1363.50 with a stop at 1364.50 (4 ticks well inside our 7 tick max)
3-notice how in the sideways slop the ma broke back above the priceline
creating a long signal @ 1364 giving us a 2 tick loss but putting back on the correct trend side of the trade (long64stop63)
4-is first uptrend line
5- new trendline after jump
6/7 -exact same type setups as described-
this helps with tight reversal setups and not taking a full 7 tick stop -capital protection
the original entry held for ( 1) for the full move of 20 ticks but how could you know that it would -its great practice for getting in and out
also notice the pink trendline is the 1 now in play on the chart -i often keep the active or floating trendline a different color till its completed its move
