My first one was a Sinclaire ZX-81 with 1K ram, then a commodore 64K ram, then a PC 512K ram, etc...
I can tell you what is the difference between, one, two and more bytes...
my kid doesn't have a clue, with his 128Gb iPhone..
He is playing with Python, R and other tools and doesn't have a clue how we did
with less than a Megabyte of memory...
This is not a joke...
I remember, first HD was 20MB and then we formatted it in RLL and you got 30MB
a 600 MB hard disk, costed like a few thousands dollars in the early 90's
imagine, i could not even put all of the futures data on that HD, it would but full !!!!!!

but if you look at these adds,
this is so hilarious
and it's only like 25 years ago
and then this was serious business !
