But maybe it -is- too simplistic for what he needs.
One of the parts I find the most useful is the ability to list your favorite profiles in the togglelist, and toggle instantly between them using the / key. Allows you to get multiple views without eating up screen real estate.
Does anybody know if it is possible in SC to draw a single line within the 15 minute volume bar indicating average volume for that time of the day. As FT71 does for his globex charts. I hope this makes sense.
I think it's the other way around, but I'm not sure. Also don't think it matters if you know what each bar is. I'm not an expert on his stuff, but I think he's just trying to compare the actual volume vs the relative volume.
The Relative Volume study's output is a percentage, so you'll need to multiply it by the volume, then divide the result by 100.
Try this:
1) Add the Volume study, if it's not already on the chart.
2) Add the Relative Volume study, check Hide Study.
3) Add the Study Subgraphs Multiply study, check Hide Study.
-set the Input Study1 to the Volume study, and Volume (SG1).
-set the Input Study2 to the Relative Volume study, and Relative Volume (SG1).
4) Add the Study Subgraph Divide study.
-set the Based On to the Study Subgraphs Multiply study
-set the Chart Region to the same as the Volume study
-set the Input Data to Multiply
-set the Divider to 100
-set the Draw Style to Bar
Note: the Volume study needs to be above the Study Subgraph Divide study in the Studies to Graph list.
The process in Post #48 does not produce the desired outcome. Please do not use it.
The Average Volume (SG4) in the Relative Volume study produces the value you want.
So do this instead:
To overlay this onto a Volume study:
In the Relative Volume study:
-set the Chart Region to the same as the Volume study.
-set the Draw Style of SG4 to Bar
-set all other Draw Styles to Ignore.
