The point which comes to my mind regarding this is 'ambition'. On average, men seem to be more ambitious than women. This might have to do with evolutionary reasons... men want to become more successful than their peers in order to attract women so that they can ensure survival of their DNA... most women seem to focus more on finding the right man, one who can provide certainty for them and the family...
But again, this still does not prove that women are less capable of achieving the same things.
Ambition goes also a long way to explain creativity. I know from my own experience that I get far more creative if I really want to achieve something. In contrast, if a topic or work does not interest me much, I have a hard time coming up with creative ideas.
BTW, I've met only one institutional trader so far... a woman Maybe she is the only one in our city and I've got damn lucky (should have played the lottery that day, I guess ). But I will ask her the next time I meet her, what her estimate for the ratio of woman traders among institutional traders is.
Soon, some will ask rename BM'sTF to Cosmo-trading forum ...
It is surprising how dudes may think, that they understand, how women think and act and what its predisposed...
It's not specific predisposed, it's not nesessary to have gentle voice, caressing hands, etc. - they have a more complicated organism, and the higher-frequency brain it is no wonder that everywhere where women are comfortable they already present. Monotonous work for the brain and recognition of the stupid actions is not woman mentality. Worth look around to make the output.
I have taught both men and women to be Air Traffic Controllers, Airline pilots and traders. I can tell you with certainty that ones sex makes no difference what so ever.
I'm a welder by trade and can say women tend to be some of the best welders out there. Due to the fact they normally have much better patience and the ego is not nearly as bad as men. Also have found women are much easier to teach and much more receptive to constructive criticism. I'm sure there and much more men then women in the finance world but I'd suspect that the ratio of good trades to great traders are higher among women then men.
I believe women inherently make better traders than men because they are less likely
to equate their net worth with their self-worth. Thus, accepting osses as an integral condition
of trading is somewhat less of an emotional struggle,
