Got up and NOT alert. Quick glance at the charts as going to the restroom and I blew it. First, I had to tight of stop on the short right at my trigger zone & then price proceeded to do what I expected. Then it looked like CL was going to resume its upward move and I tried a long. Needless, to say I was stopped again. Now that I am semi-awake I am to saying myself, "How stupid on my part." Overall, 2 bad trades with entries and management. I am going back to sleep and get some rest. Then when alert and prepared in the morning I will resume trading. Gave back my profits from earlier and down a little over a hundred with commissions.
Completed one more long with 3 contracts @ +11 ticks each for another $330. I should be at about $525 for the day so I reached my daily goal for the Combine so now will trade live. I will post the Combine statistics tonight.
Well, I never should have traded today. I am still sick, in a mental fog and definitely was NOT reading the market correctly but for some reason I went ahead anyway. Very quickly I was down over a $1,200! I did manage to fight my way back to about plus $7 after commissions and then I stopped trading for the day. However, the damage was done. My losers for each product were greater than my winners and I ignored my personal daily loss limit. It may have worked out this time but that is not the way of a professional trader. I need to work on this!
Also, for some reason I chose today to start trading the ES. I reached my daily goal in CL but had a losing day in the ES. Now, I do not have a trading average greater than zero for each product traded. I had way too many trades to document them all so I am just going to show my trade results for each product. Here you go:
Well, I woke up and saw a great setup so I entered but it was taking too long to follow through so I moved stop to +1 tick and got stopped out which at the moment looks like a real good decision. I will watch for a reentry before going back to bed.
Two more quick trades and both were on CL. The first was stopped out with 3 contracts at -9 ticks each. The second was 3 contracts at +12 ticks each. I now have met my daily goal for the Combine and am going to switch over to my live account.
