Well one quote ha, hah. The quotes are whatever Napoleon Hill email sends!
------
I think large goals have large "costs" (investments).
Some goals have clear paths and clear timelines. Some do not.
The cornerstones of my life are faith, belief, perseverance and discipline.
Faith isn't really faith if it isn't tested.
The best we can to is smile, work hard and continue unceasingly holding steadfastly to our conviction.
We succeed or die in the attempt but the journey is ours forever.
When your personal goals coincide with those of another, not only does the power of your combined labors benefit you, but such cooperation also creates a synergistic effect that allows you to achieve far more than the simple sum of your individual efforts. Know that friendship freely given and gratefully received is one of life’s greatest gifts.
I include visualization with my daily meditation. I begin by getting relaxed and in the meditative zone then repeat affirmations surrounding my goals followed by a visualization of how i see the goal in the end state, and do this for each goal. for example I might say, 'in an easy and relaxed manner, in a healthy and positive way, I'm consistently increasing my account equity over a period of weeks and months'. I then visualize my equity curve rising smoothly over a period of weeks and months on my computer screen. I find it also helps to say in my mind, 'visualizing a smoothly rising equity curve.. etc. while i am attempting to see the picture in my mind.
This is what i do, and I do not claim in any way that it is the best way for anyone but i am continually evolving my visualization techniques and this is how i currently practice it.
You need to examine your competitors and understand what it is that will make you stand out. If there are performance standards, exceed them. If you’re fulfilling a contract, do more than you promised.
You cannot confine extra-mile service to your work alone. You must make it part of your philosophy for dealing with every person you encounter.
The true benefit of going the extra mile is in teaching yourself to strive always for better and greater achievement in all that you do.
In real life, the odds always favor those who use their time wisely to pursue their goals constructively, to fill every day with a full measure of honest work.
Some waste time and mental energy hoping for the big break that will propel them to greatness. We all have the same 24 hours available to us in each day. Most of us spend eight hours working and eight hours sleeping .
What you do with the remaining eight hours will have a tremendous influence on the level of success you achieve in your life.
Persuading yourself that you can do something is a strong beginning.
Next develop a sound plan and get into action. Seldom is a plan perfect. If you have a clear vision of your goal and a plan that is flexible enough to allow you to deal with unexpected obstacles or take advantage of unforeseen opportunities, don’t delay.
Getting into action — even if you do have to make adjustments later — will help focus your mind and channel your energies in the direction of your objective.
In our society, the number of opportunities for achievement is virtually limitless.
In every business or profession, there are innumerable opportunities to invent new products, to improve manufacturing and administrative processes, and to offer better service than the competitor down the street.
But every opportunity will soon drift away unless someone seizes it and puts it to work.
