In a conversation it’s a good idea to listen more than you talk. In relationships it is wise to think about the well-being of others.
When you strive to treat others in the same way you would like them to treat you, you become a person whom others like to be around, one who commands their respect, confidence, and loyalty.
Anyone can quit when the going is hard, but a thoroughbred never quits until he wins.
The going is always hard on the road to greatness.
If success were easy, everyone would achieve it. NFL All-Pro lineman Brian Holloway recalled that when he was playing for the New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Raiders, there wasn’t a single day when he didn’t feel like giving up because the road was too tough and the sacrifices were too great.
He didn’t quit, of course; he was willing to pay the price because he was determined to succeed.
Competition spurs and obstacles test determination to succeed. You may not cross the finish line first every time you try, but if you stay in the race, you will eventually prevail.
When you realise that consciousness is the one and only reality-conceiving
itself you will understand that you can become that which you conceive yourself to be.
You will be free from the tyranny of doubt, free from the belief that there are
causes outside of your own mind that can affect your life.

Two of my favourite talks are:
Inner talk Builds your World -(Manifest Your Reality Through Mental Conversation)
and
Imagining Creates Reality
Odd that you posted today (or perhaps just how the cosmic consciousness works)
I was listening to Inner Talk today. (I like to make notes and add in bit on each re-listening!)
Today I typed:
12:06 If you will reap success you must plant success. The idea in your mind which starts the whole process going, is the idea which you accept as true. This is a very important point to grasp for truth depends upon the intensity of imagination not upon facts.
12:44 An assumption, though false, if persisted in will harden into fact. The mind always behaves according to the assumption with which it starts. Therefore to experience success we must assume we are successful. We must live only on the level of the imagination itself. And it must be consciously and deliberately undertaken. It does not matter if external facts deny the truth of your assumption. If you persist in your assumption it will become a fact.

Clarence Saunders made millions by borrowing the self-help cafeteria idea for the grocery business and naming it Piggly Wiggly. Imagination pays!
The founder of the Piggly Wiggly grocery chain was a low-level employee in a corner grocery when he visited a cafeteria and got the idea that the same techniques could be applied to the grocery business. He was ridiculed by experts, but he was convinced that the idea was a good one. Saunders persevered, and his adaptation of the self-service idea to the grocery business led him to become the father of the modern supermarket.
You come finally to believe anything you tell yourself often enough.
If you repeat something over and over to yourself, your subconscious mind will eventually begin to accept it as fact. When something has been accepted as truth by your subconscious mind, it will work overtime to transform the idea into physical reality.
You can take advantage of this by programming your mind to think positive thoughts. Use self-motivators or affirmations to persuade your subconscious that you are capable of doing anything you wish.
Repeat the self-motivator several times a day until it becomes an automatic reaction to recall a positive phrase whenever you begin to doubt yourself.
The invisible forces are ever working for man who is always ‘pulling the strings’ himself, though he does not know it. Owing to the vibratory power of words, whatever man voices, he begins to attract. - Florence Scovel Shinn
I read this quote the other day and I cant stop thinking about it. You know how you enter a trade with a stop and target and inevitable your stop gets hit? Sometimes with alarming regularity? Do you think that we subconciously know exactly what the market is about to do but because e are so focused on our loss parameters and how much we are 'ok' to lose - that we actually give life to that thought and it become self fulfilling? Im not saying that our mental faculty has any influence on the market at all but I am suggesting that we do have some sort of precognition which we are not aware of.
You notice I used the word inevitable. Sometimes you cant help but feel that no matter where you place your stop its going to be hit. Why? Maybe there is truth in what she says. If you think it you will attract it.
Very interesting quote... and question.
(It will be interesting to see what other readers contribute)
At one level is - what it the nature of reality?
To that question I don't really know.
To what degree are we causal agents with our thoughts to what degree are our thoughts reactive agents to sea of thought-mind-stuff permeating our consciousness from the outside?
For the latter we may think we are originating thoughts that we are not the authors of.
I have noticed that it is very hard (for myself at least) to hold out minds on on desired outcomes and it is very easy for our minds to play with dreaded outcomes. Perhaps it is the heavy nature of this planet with so many on lower levels of vibration. (that is so many who have a love of malicious gossip and negative and hateful words.)
I believe that our thoughts are less independent than many assume. So given certain setups it might well be that many of us place our stops in with many others. I believe that the raiders know very well how to pull in traders with certain price action and from their experience where (the range in which) the stops will be placed.
Indeed they can very well create price action to create stop clusters to later run.
Also your broker can trade against you (internalizing the trade). They know where your stops are and all of their other clients and and take any posted stop.
