that would be perfect, although i think those stats would be better for the weeks as im not sure how helpful they would be on days of the week.. the only thing i could see useful would be what days of the week i do the best or worst on over the entire year..
on the weeks i would want those stats so i can go through and see how that month ended up the way it did type of thing..
dont believe anything you hear and only half of what you see
ya i was just saying that for the way you have the day of the week setup you would only need to know the profit/loss for each day over the year, and that seems like it would be better as say a bar chart kinda like the hours of the day we have right now in the journal.
the weeklies could be done by having each week of the month in rows under each month.. i see what your saying on how its not always the same.. hmmm.. ill have to think about that for a min or two..

We'll have both, the table and charts (as the charts need a table somewhere anyways).
Nay, doesn't work without really intense scripting...Excel doesn't handle that well anyways, but if you do it for the individual months, you end up with many truncated and chopped up weeks making the study pretty worthless.
So I think the best way would be using the matrix...but I'll improve that a bit more...
btw, how do you actually tell what day of the week it is by the dates entered with our trades?
i guess the main point of this part of the journal for me would be so i can at a glance see how much im up/down for the day and how much commish ive paid. then see where i stand for the week, and year as i enter trades.. then the ability to go back at the end of the month/year and use the information to see the things im doing well and also see the leaks in my game..
