Here comes the latest in my adventure (NIGHTMARE) with Mirus Futures.
On the 21st of September I made a request to a wire transfer to my bank in Sweden from Mirus.
Normally it takes about 5 days to get the money (due to my experience with Velocity). I only had a problem once with Velocity but they solved it in 1 day. This is good to bare in mind.
So the 5 days passed, and I still didn't get any money from them. I thought it might take a bit longer maybe. I waited a total of 9 days, actually 7 if we are to take away the weekend.
I send an email to customer service asking them what is going on.
Six hours later I receive an answer from Mirus. My broker Tony tells me that my request is being proceeded now.
I'm asking him why the request is being made now, when there was an withdrawal made from my account on the 21st of September? He says that he doesn't know, but by looking at his information it looks like the wire was sent on the 21st.
I honestly don't know what to believe any more, if it was sent by that date, it should at least have had the time to come back in case something was wrong. Second if they were lying and the wire request was made on the 30th of September then that should mean it was going to take another 5 days. So I decided to wait for another 5 days.
Don't do that!
I waited, and nothing happened. So I contacted Mirus again. Tony was out of office. I spoke to the Costumer support manager Bob. He said that he would have a look into it.
This was on made on the 7th of October. Bob asked me to confirm the information I provided them with when I made the wire request. It was confirmed on the 8th.
I asked him to provide me with information of where my money was, and what the hell had happened. I also asked him to cancel my request in case it was possible.
He replied the same day Friday the 8th telling me that the reversal should be reflected in my account on Friday, and if not on Friday then on Monday!
So I wait till Monday. Still no reflection! I contact him again and now he is saying that he forgot to tell me about the US bank holiday and that I shall get my money if not on Tuesday then on Wednesday!
Yesterday still no money in the account.
Today still no money in the account!
Guys stay away from these people! It has been 22 days now since I made the request. If we take away the 7 days of holidays and weekends, we still have 15 days left. I have not been provided with any type of information from their part of where the money is, or what possibly could have happened. Just to wait! Oh, they have been good at thanking me for my patience!
I will keep you updated and tell you how it develops.

I contacted RCG on my own, and started to play detective. Apparently the money should be at my bank! Obviously they're not because my account is not reflecting that. But, at least I could get something from RCG in less then 5 minutes that could give me a trace I could work on by my own.
It is not supposed to be that way, because you're hiring your broker and you're paying him to do the work for you. But at least I know now, that I can move some things by myself.
This is a circus that takes this experience to a high sky degree. So be careful out there guys when you pick your broker. They are wonderful as long as you generate commission for them. But when you put them to pressure...

your experience is shocking and I start to regret I recommended Mirus to you. However, my withdrawals have run like clockwork (thru Dorman) and the wire transfer to Sweden has taken 3 days or less.
I don't understand how RCG can get this so wrong given they are provided the correct SWIFT/IBAN. What is your plan, are going to close the account alltogether? In any case, the transfer can not be in limbo. Either it is accepted by the receiving bank or rejected (and then the sending bank is notified). Normally the only reason for rejection is a mismatch in the account name or SWIFT/BIC.
Btw, I made my most recent withdrawal from Dorman via Mirus about 2 weeks ago, and was told that the customer rep will not process this in future. Apparently they have an automated function for this now.
Thank you for your thought. But they've charged me 50$ instead.

Don't worry it is not your fault. I'm happy it works out for you! As soon as I get to the bottom with this I will move my funds to Velocity, and stay the h..... away from these guys!
Here are the latest news from this very annoying journey.
Remember, when I told you yesterday that my money were supposed to be in my account in Sweden, and they weren't of course?!
Well, guess what?! Today the money appeared in my account at Mirus. BUT big but, 50$ from the initial amount was gone. It costs 30$ to make a wire transfer, but I've been charged an additional of 20$. And I have not even received the wire!
They're treating me like dirt!
Jerry you're right about the Swift/Bic/Iban number. But you see, I got those confirmed by my bank more then a week ago. The ones I provided Mirus with were correct.
So far I've been in contact with my bank in Sweden and asked them to track the wire and see what has happened. I want to see who's fault this is. It is between the banks now. Mirus are still shining with their very, very, very poor support or maybe I should say their non-existent support!
I have not contacted Mirus yet, and asked them why there's a lack of 50$. I have my suspicions of why there is that lack by the way, but I want to hear it from them. And second, Mirus has not contacted me at all, even though they promised that they will keep me updated.
So as soon as I'm finished with them, I will run as far away as possible and stay away from these guys!
I'll keep you updated as soon as I get more information.
