The thread did get off to a slow start and never did anything else, basically, and yes, the outcome is indeed "NULL."
That's the way it goes, basically. How many threads end up trailing off inconclusively? Many. This is not unusual enough for extended comment, but yes, for the record, it is acceptable for someone to post any way they please, so long as they have not broken any rules, or otherwise gone against the spirit of the forum... which is a judgment call that the mods may make, but not often.
