Yes, at the beginning of this thread...which was several years ago...I was trading TF. I got mixed results and ended up focusing 100% on Crude Oil.
So a few months back, I started looking at TF again. I have taken some live trades on it...but since it moves differently than Cl, I am mostly on SIM untill I have some positive statistics for several months on it. I have been doing pretty well so far..and there are days when it provides better trades than CL (if Cl is choppy or like today.)

You're right it was a terrible day. I trade like you on 3 range bars and the only clear signal that my system gave me for the day was a trade around 8AM between 37.26 to 36.93 after that it was only noise for me. Each time I had a pre-trade setup the following bars was a NO TRADE with a big stay away warning. This is the first time that I see a time chart much clear than a range chart. I had signals on a 1 min but I don't trade time chart.
I'm curious to know if you have a way to know that the market will be like in advance or if like you just wait and see (and stay away...) ?

Hi..I like your chart setup. To answer your question, I have a basic plan before the 9 am session open..but I often can't tell what the market conditions are like until maybe 15 to 20 minutes have gone by. If I see that I don't like the way price is moving, I will stay out until an extreme high or low price level is reached...or if I see some strong volume coming in.
