DAX short 9:00 to 14:30
entry @ 18689
exit @ 18661
result + 25 points
GFIs1
edit 19:52 - Price pushed down beyond the lows of the day
What does it mean?
We are out of any support (far away)
which will obviously continue this week
as there is no halt on this down move
My question is have you tested trading 2 contracts. Sell the first one at your stop 30points + or more, then move stop to in the money and let the 2nd run?
Sorry if i seem disrespectful to your method, I'm not , I appreciate your journal. You know more than me, i'm just curious.
This is the title of this journal of one of my systems since 2012 here on this forum.
My name here is GFIs1 which means "Go For It system ONE".
It is purely a test field of my found best entry and exit times on ONE trade on EVERY Weekday throughout all different volumes, volatility, market news, interest changes in the most important countries, holidays, triple witch for futures, monthly, quarterly and yearly results of strong companies - YOU name It!
Why it is NOT important to start with 2 cars and then take out one... etc. when? by which rule? Because it is not comparable over time...
My rules didn't change in this thread a lot: It just had adjustments because 2012 we had lower volatility and volume as 2024 - right?
So I had just changed the Stop Loss settings (SL) according to the rising volume. Not more!
To test other pattern trading systems - I have a bunch of other possibilities.
Here is a very attracting one: with alarm on the phone - you get wonderful entry/exit proposals with not much thinking:
For the high vola my trade
FOR ALL that are not familiar with my DAX journal - PLEASE READ that one before you ask here.
As the rules in mentioned GFIs1 thread are not allowing a trade on all days - especially in high volatility phases -
I was searching …
will give you a hint.
One can run both systems parallel - and make money without thinking!
By the way - there are more tested patterns reflected in some other threads here on the forum. Of course always live.
To summarize:
ALL my threads are just a testing lab on patterns.
To make it crystal clear:
I show my plan before taking a trade with entry TIME and exit TIME as well with probable SL (sometimes not given).
And this for ALL of my threads here. Cost free. No hassle. No contract. NOTHING! Thanks to @Big Mike
I am giving a lot of my knowledge to interested traders: FOR FREE
Of course I know (with over 250 followers just on this thread with >1.2M page views in this thread only) that some may have made good money following my rules here.
Thanks to my followers!
Maybe this is just for University level discussions - to find the best patterns in just ONE INSTRUMENT - not easy for students at the beginning.
So my input here is to see a bit behind the curtains and behavior of markets.
Open for every Nexus member. Thus NO restriction even if you are not a elite member. Nice - yes?
I am very interested in the placement of your fibs.
Because I don't have the same data feed as you it hepls alot when you post a chart showing them.
I have read most of the posts here but I seem to have missed the "cookbook" or trading rules.
If you have posted them in the past could you refresh my memory?
I may not trade the same as you but I find learning how great traders think helps my trading.
Thanks for sharing your methods.
