The first few episode are basically a far inferiour retelling of the movie. I hear it gets much bette later on, when it moves away from the source material. I haven't stuck around that long.
Better call saul is quality, slow start but improving quickly, gd scripting and acting. Breaking bad had a slowish start, sopranos is slow throughout......all of them are quality. Patience, time.
Homeland imo is avge on many levels, prefer 'the americans'.
for a recommend, if you like english edgy comedy you cld do worse than youtubing 'strutter' (18 cert; loose parady of sean penn character in carlittos way). 'Nathan barley'..... satire of post modernist central london; the office (uk).....similarly of the suburbs.
House of cards is on the list, and boardwalk empire, and now loads more from everyones posts, thks.
Gotta love tv at the moment, film industry shld take note.
