How many Days to Expiry is this?
It is the April 3rd week contract that you mentioned.
Best regards, Myrrdin

Because /ES is mini futures, does the delta need to be "halfed" too when selecting the strikes?

Because /ES is mini futures, does the
delta need to be "halfed" too when selecting the strikes?
Delta tells you how much an option will rise or drop in value with a rise or drop in the underlying. If the underlying moves 100 % an option with a Delta of 0.05 moves 5 %, assuming everything else being constant.

If i am opening new spreads on /ES today based on the 1x -5
delta short and 2x 1.5 delta long, which strikes should i be looking at?
The April 3rd week:
-1 2400
+2 2140
Will this be roughly correct?
Using SPAN files from Jan 2 and looking at April 3rd week options, a -4.93 delta is 2240. The 1990 put is -1.52 delta. This is 108 DTE on Jan 2.
ES put data can be found here. Page 21 of this pdf has the Apr EW3 options (CME calls it EOW3). https://www.cmegroup.com/daily_bulletin/current/Section48_E_Mini_S_And_P_500_Put_Options.pdf

Just click that link. It only gives the current report. No historical is available there.

Is this the spread you are doing now?
Thanks.
No. I'm selling two -3.00 delta puts and buying three -1.00 delta puts.
Today I sold EW3j8p2140(2)p1900(3) for 3.30. I'm using IMx4.
Kicking my self for not doing it yesterday morning.

OX no longer exists. They were bought by Charles Schwab. OX is now SmartStreet Central.
I used to be at OX. I am now at DeCarley Trading. Best customer service ever. Plus exchange minimum margin.
Ron, in your experience, what differences did you notice about Decarley Trading as compared to Charles Schwab that made you switch?

Ron, in your experience, what differences did you notice about Decarley Trading as compared to Charles Schwab that made you switch?
Number 1 was customer service. You only talk to Carley. Not sometimes getting inexperienced persons at OX.
Number 2 was SPAN minimum margin. Sometimes OX increased margin above minimum without notice.
Number 3 was OX sometimes put limits on my account because I was selling options. Never happened with DeCarley.
Number 4 is lower commissions for me because of my volume at DeCarley.
Better thing at OX is you can trade stocks. For me that doesn't matter.
