Thanks Matt. Full announcement can be found here. So circuit breakers for NG today are 50c (already hit) then $1, then $1.50 then $2. Of course they are mostly pointless when the spreads still trade! For example earlier in the week when NGH9 was limit up, I was still able to buy NGH9 above the circuit break price by buying NGG9 and then selling the G9/H9 spread.
It is clear that you have above average knowledge when it comes to Energy products. So what I saying here is mostly for the community and not to educate you.
The spreads in intra-commodities in the last few weeks has posed risk, in my opinion, higher than a simple outright position. We saw spreads going in complete and opposite directions on a number of sessions. Those who are in the business of selling Options on energies saw how many sessions a market can go against you without stop, and then have a huge drop to top it all off. These are tough markets to navigate at times, so the use of leverage and risk management should be the top priority for all in this sectors.
