Personally, I'd rather let them go longer and pack it full of information, if they're happy to share. e.g. when Linda Raschke has been on, she can go on quite a long time, but it's all incredibly useful information that some of us watch multiple times...so the more gems of wisdom they're willing to share, the better! IMO...
Ooh good one! I'd like to pile on with...If you move to break even, at what point in the trade do you do so?
and do you scale in / scale out of trades?
Or, more generally...what about "their" system of trading are they willing to share with those of us working on being pros in this arena....?
Hey guys, well three years later this idea is not dead. I repeat, not dead.
We are finally about to launch our 20 questions interview series and will be posting some new interviews soon. Stay tuned for that, I will update this thread once we start rolling them out.
We have kept the same basic principles defined three years ago in this thread, but have changed a few things here and there. Hopefully you will like what you see.
I am currently in the process of finalizing the set of 20 questions, which will mostly remain the same for each interviewee. I would greatly appreciate if you guys would spend a minute and read this thread, see what questions have been proposed already, and then respond with any new questions that you think would be a good fit for this series.
What was the turning point in your trading career? To rephrase, at what point in your career did you feel that things will only improve from here on out (and they did)?
If you could go back in time to when you started your trading career, what would you do differently?
What do you consider to be the most underrated skill in trading?
What do you consider to be the most overrated skill in trading?
In your opinion, what differentiates the consistently profitable retail trader with the best of the best?
What do you think about fear in trading? Is it healthy or does it hold traders back?
Yesterday's excellence is today's standard and tomorrow's mediocrity
I expect that a list of only trading related questions will be dull and difficult to differentiate who is who after a couple of lists.
Some personality meat on the bone is good for the grown up traders as a hint of who they are as people lifts them from a beginner's earnest tick-box list
What are the 5 words that best describe you?
What is the biggest character turn-off for you?
What are 5 things you want more of right now? (Could be physical things, characteristics, ideas, anything.)
If you could visit any place in the world, where would it be? Would you consider living there?
If you could have any OTHER job, what would it be and why?
