I cannot stand liars and cheaters or dishonest people in general. I don't care how "far he gets in life", I wouldn't want anything to do with him. There are more important things in life than money or "winning".
Your comment upsets me, it's as if you are encouraging this behavior and to violate forum policy and the goodwill of this community.
I am interested to participate in the competition, but looks like only elite members are qualified. Anyway, Wishing all participants Good Journalling!!!

Hi jsk123, all members are qualified. Elite trading journals have a "slight" disadvantage in that regular members can't read their journal. As a regular member everyone can read your journal, so there shouldn't be no reason you can't participate.
Honestly, there is basically no disadvantage and I'd never state it as such. If you examine the active users you'll find something like 95% are Elite. I imagine the thanks you receive falls in line with that, especially since non Elite members are also far less thankful for posts percentage wise.

In real terms perhaps no there isn't a disadvantage as you've stated before. Looking at it from the outside perspective, then one could look at it that way. Either way the idea behind my message to him was to encourage him to participate and not feel that only "elite" member qualify as that's far from the truth.
It is difficult for a non-elite member to be "thankful" for elite journals since we do not have access to these journals. I would say that is a factor in the lack of their votes for Elite journals.
I generally don't vote blindly on something....unless this is simply a popularity contest
I meant in general, for all the posts you have access to as non-Elite members, they don't press "thanks" very often. I see you are the exception.
You've been here a while and you are active. At this point it seems you're making a willful decision to not be Elite which is up to you naturally, although I must admit to not understanding why since you are so active. But most other non-Elite Members are not like you, and those are who I was referring to.
Not true. It is just that a lot of people have decided that it is worth joining the site as it doesn't cost even as much as 3 months of Barron's magazine to join. (Not counting promos as they are a one time thing.
Believe me you will get used to all of us at Big Mike Trading, we all started where you are right now at this very minute. That is unless you are super successful stock and funds trader already. It is worth it just to enter so you get in the habit of journaling, and for that you will be a winner regardless.
Now also the elite members that have their journals on the elite side are actually at a disadvantage for their journals are not visible to non-elite members. (Although I could be totally wrong and there may be a button push somewhere that will change that.)
So actually non-elite members actually have the advantage of both elite and non-elite members looking at their journals.
Enter have fun and don't worry about it and insert the link of your journal into your post to enter.
Like they say to Mikey on that Cheerios commercial "Hey Mikey try this you'll like it." or was that the Pepto Bismol commercial...
If you have any questions about how to get started there are plenty of threads on how to journal. My only suggestion for the contest and the future is to get in the habit of journaling daily, or on every trade if you are so inclined to. About the only journals I have not put a like on are the ones that really are not journaling.
Hope you have a great day and week.
I know I surely would like a redo on today's trades... ARGE
