It took my friend a while to take the plunge, but he is now working on the unpaid OneUp sim. His wife is supportive (a critical element) and yesterday he had a $2,500 day. After talking with him about his style and his former glory, I realized that in 20 years he has forgotten more than I have ever learned about trading. LOL. He is awesome. He says he loves trading and is glad I helped him get to this point. I expect he will slowly but surely start to run circles around my own performance as he eventually gets funding on MES or LeeLoo, or some other. I have talked with him about the micros now too, but he didn't seem eager to try that route.
He says he is having to work through lots of PTSD from losing so much money previously. I think a few weeks of good trading will be great for him emotionally and financially.
How are people handling taxes(fund traders in the states) since they say they don't provide a 1099? I really like that they do not charge data fees but my concern is the lack of 1099.
