If anyone interested here is a On BarClose = False version (You will see the developing volume of the non finish bar)
It has a "fix" for the alarm, should sound once time only per occurrence
I add an EMA in the volume
and could not resist to include the Cunparis High volume pattern on this ( you can turn on/off if desire)

Cory sorry the background colors could not make it.

Regards

It would be really helpful when a 'revised' version of an indicator is suggested that you at least change the name so it does not over-write the original indicator?

ok, looks like you want some rules, some set ups, you got it!

note in chart I added TRIX indicator twice, one to the lower panel and one to the chart to color the back ground note: auto scale set to false.

during the pink time treat all dot lines as support lines, you look for b/d and the trigger is when a bar closes below the dots. during the blue time treat all dot lines as resistant lines, look for b/o and the trigger is when a bar closes above the dots.

ps. set length = 200

cory,

I added the Trix indicator on my chart and it removes all the up bars?

I've attached a photo.

Seems like every time the Trix is not pink the bars remove.
All timeframes are affected.

Thanks,

Thanks,

never fear it didn't not remove any bar it just colored bars black. red = down black = up in my world. If I don't have barcolor option just open the code look for barcolor and change Black to some other color.

so we stick with one indicator but then a) do we set it at a smaller interval to get them all including false signals or b) set it at a bigger interval to get less false signals but the waiting is also a pain beside there is no guarantee that it will be a winning signal.

Hi

Thanks cory for your superb indicators. I would prefer to set VolumeStopV4 indicator at a bigger interval. How do i set it at a bigger intervals?

I don't understand? you can change your chart to 15m, 30m if that is what you want.

I'm not sure what this does for the high volume patterns. It doesn't show everything my volume patterns indicator shows.

Here's a chart with my volume patterns & Cory's Volume Stop.

i had previously tried volume stop on a tick chart, but this is the first time I look at it on 5min chart (I'm now using 5min for ALL markets).

Volume Stop correctly signaled 8/8 trades, all good for at least a scalp. This is nothing short of amazing! Good job Cory. I'm going to add this to my chart this week and see if I can pick up some more opportunities.

Also note when you get several confirming signals (HVC, PhaseShift crossover, Volume Stop, H2/L2, etc.) it makes an even higher probability trade.

Now the only problem is the volume stop is putting dots on top of the PhaseShiftSR but that should be easy to fix.

Just change my default 30 periods look back to your 20, and you would get same results :-)
