Well, counter-trend trading was not something again to do today. These days are the bane of my trading existance!
I knew it was going down, so why was I shorting??????????????????????????
I went into crazy replay mode and sped up the market and just started clicking so I stopped my video.
Gosh, I took a short, got bounced, so wow, I guess I am a bit upset. Ever since I started reading trading in the zone I have now become overconfident and unemotional to the point of gift gift gift gift...
I am going to watch the market for a couple days to get my mojo back.
I am dealing with a couple big decisions at work and I can't get some of that out of my head while trading. Along with a child that is up all night and leaving me with little options of sleep. Ok, enough excuses, back to work!
I see that there were VERY clear entries on breakouts. Very clear....
Ok, today was a bit more clear to me, but my first trade was ridiculous. "I don't want to miss it" trade.
I hit my trade perfect and scaled out a bit soon, but it was a good target.
I am not picking the proper direction lately which obviously isn't helping. I considered taking a long but not where I would have made any good $'s.
My wife is picking up the longer trend and she tells me an 8,000 tick chart is required. hmmm. I think I have enough charts to slow down my computer at this point. haha...
Ok, Not my best composure for sure. I was down -4.6 points at one point! I stopped thinking and just started clicking after about trade 6 (-1.6 points). I could have taken a time out.
I saw longs, but yet I started shorting... I think I had some misfortune in that I was taking some decent longs, but both times they came back to knock me out and go.

surprising,
we all know these negative days happen, but with the direction moves of today, I guess it was easy to not trust the strength of the moves, as they happened, or simply go with an existing move underway for whatever you could have taken
do you apply this method to other contracts?, or would that max out more monitors beyond the ability to concentrate (I think the latter)?
Well, this is not a trend followers system...so....
Horst does a pretty good job of trading multiple contracts on different instruments. I don't know if he still does it as much, but it was pretty impressive how he would have on about 3 different instruments and 10 contracts each. I thought it was pretty cool.
Today was a good day. I got chopped up a bit because I wasn't patient and I wasn't taking trades with the smaller time frame saying to get in. The 144 MACD was not saying to get in but I figured it was going short a good bit so I caught it.
I need to let go as I am feeling anxious to be 'profitable' and I feel that urge within myself. That leads to anger IF I make some bad trades which of course fogs up my brain. I must keep clear and trade what I see.
