HI , For me the astrology in trading are a bit to subjective. Maybe it can have some can have some influence in grown of the agriculture and moisture for the sun aspect, but damn in trading I don't think so. I have found a site that can display some of the thing in tradestation but i'm not a big fan of this astro part of the trading. soulytion.de
he has build a strategy on the planet it's seem to be good but the number of trade tell me that is a bit over optimize.
Eric1704, you speak about price action like it means the same for every one, and i am not sure it does. I would love to hear you elaborate at great length at what you understand price action to be. i have heard the term thrown about for years. price action is talked about like everyone has the same idea about what it is.. but rarely do people really start to explain what price action means for them...in this thread or perhaps leave a link on this thread to a new one where you can elaborate. for example, you said understand the dynamics of s & d thru price action? so please explain in great detail to those of us using crutches and wheelchairs what you mean by "price action".
also, eric, i would say what makes you think that people into stuff like astrology arent into pa as well......
Tradermark. i looked at the danielcode website and the first thing that came to mind was "snake oil",. I could be completely wrong but that was my first impression. i think he has put old wine in a new bottle and it selling it for lots of money. if you are into astro stuff, i recomend Larry Pesavanto, he has a trading room, authored several books, and i think he is the real deal, when it comes to trading.
me, i dont use astro much at all in trading. i have read some stuff on astro trading. i dont have any problem with it. hey, if it works, do it, thats my philosophy. but i do really like the wave59 software, if you havent checked it out, do so.
In a recent survey about webinars, a lot of members expressed interest in learning more about the elusive "price action" that many traders talk about and refer to.
It is my intent with this thread to try and document price action from my point …
Thank you trader Tx.Snake oil was my reaction,too-although he has put some predictions in print that turned out pretty good.I would love to hear from folks that have actually tried to follow all his signals-are they consistently good,or is he just cherry picking the best ones to tell the world about.
Thank you Philloo.I really appreciate members like you that attempt to throw useful ideas and information my way.I really appreciate members who have useful opinions-pro and con-based on their own investigations.
Tradermark, a very old friend of mine has recently bought a house near where I live and is coming up this summer. He told me last year he has been making steady money using astrology in trading. I have no idea what he is doing, daytrading or not etc. but do believe him when he says he has been successful.
Old saying: millionaires don't use astrology; billionaires do.
The forecasting model developed by Martin Armstrong which the CIA tried to get him to hand over and when he refused he ended up spending 10 years in jail and counting without trial, even though not based on astrology (I don't think), nevertheless crunches huge amounts of data (worldwide) and correlates this with various cycles he figured out based on Kondratieff and other work.
Over a couple of decades he made many documented surprisingly accurate long-term calls, often to the day well ahead of time, sometimes years ahead. This would indicate that there is indeed some sort of regular cyclical bias at play (for whatever reason).
Since astrology basically works with cycles as well, it is not beyond the pale to assume that when various of these cycles line up in some way along with price action setups that you can use this as a methodological 'grid' or filtering system, to increase probabilities of success along with money management.
In any case, if I get to sit down with him this summer and get a better idea of exactly what he is doing, I'll post it here in your thread.
Of old the skilled first made themselves invincible to await the enemy's vincibility.
Invincibility lies in oneself. Vincibility lies in the enemy.
Thus the skilled can make themselves invincible.
They cannot cause the enemy's vincibility.
Thus it is said: 'Victory can be known; it cannot be made.'
studies show no statistical correlation between lunar cycles and ER activity. I'd post a link but I'm too new, and I'm not allowed because of site rules. Just Google it
Thank you cclsys, both for your very useful post and your kind offer to update me when your friend moves back.Much appreciated. There is an interesting blog I read called"anonymous monetarist"Most of the posts are on the economy, politics, etc. But he posts regularly on his lifelong search through all the evidence pro and con that these cycles and movements have some sort of underlying energy and order. He believes it isn't so much where a planet is,but that as energy moves it moves in waves that have relationships, ratios, proportions, etc.and that the planet's orbits have these time lengths and sections that seem to match up with market's ups and downs.Believe or not believe, anyone interested can review his argument's for themselves. Thanks again,Mark.
After thoroughly delving into Astro there is way too much hedging of calls. Well this could happen but it didn't and we did tell you that yesterday. I would respect predictors and forecasters much more if they just make a call and say it didn't work. Same with this inversion nonsense on cycles.
The other thing I have noticed is predictors love to explain in hindsight why something happened. You should have seen them after the Polish President was killed. All of them explaining how this or that planet conjunct explained it all. Well I didn't see you make those calls before the crash. A few seemed to predict volcanic activity but it was vague at best. Of course after the top blow off in Iceland they all piled in for sure with their hindsight calls.
