@iqgod I am so sorry and humbled about the sad news of your father...and deeply heartbroken for you especially considering you never even mentioned it while offering sincere condolences to me about my mom. You are an incredibly generous man and a great son. My heart is with you and your family. Prayers.
One last question Mike on the contest -
I am not asking for voting details here:
but I am interested in the total voting members that were reading the thread
and giving their opinion about the journals in the contest.
This could help to see how much the futures.io (formerly BMT) journal threads in elite and non elite
are appreciated.
The total votes cast was extremely disappointing at 60.
There is negligible difference in participation between Elite and non-Elite threads, because virtually everyone who actively participates is already Elite. As for those who are "lurkers", sure there are a lot more non-Elite's, but that is exactly how it is designed and is largely why the noise ratio is so good on nexusfi.com (formerly BMT). The people without vested interest in the forums are restricted in where they can participate.
There's something like 70k members on nexusfi.com (formerly BMT), and earlier this year we passed 10k Elite Members.
Recently raised the question about nexusfi.com (formerly BMT) being a scam due to some other websites filled with reports from banned nexusfi.com (formerly BMT) members (mostly vendors who were caught lying). So I wanted to share …
BTW, I don't think you should use this vote to gauge appreciation for journals.
Journals are extremely popular on futures.io (formerly BMT)! If you look on a week-by-week basis at your thread view counter, it might give a general idea of popularity. It's hard to infer appreciation from popularity, the only true measure would be to cumulatively count the 'thanks received' in your thread. But unfortunately, the majority of futures.io (formerly BMT) users have never pressed the 'thanks' button.
Story of my [futures.io (formerly BMT)] life -- try to figure out how to increase participation
I am quite hopeful that futures.io (formerly BMT) v5 will help with this, a large number of site admins report a big jump in participation activity on forums after moving the direction we are going with futures.io (formerly BMT) v5, I hope to see the same.
Thanks Mike for the great response.
And congrats for 10K Elite :-)
Of course the "competition" as well as the "slow month of July" are not really a magnet...
But seeing the page views in "hot" journals - one can see that more folks following the
theread than the competition thread.
This year there was not much advertising within the journals for votings.
As for future increase of participation I do have some ideas - still under development though.
Base is "post counter" and "thanks counter": If a certain level is reached - some benefit
for a member could trigger a new open door...
Only members that are active - posting with attachments can get on a new level.
And that is - as with all experience: only 0,5%
Working - Hourly Charts.
Trade Style - Positional - Generally trade with 2 lots, partial book one intra day if possible and Pivotal high or EMA as SL
Plan - To add one more lot near 7185
