Well.....gotta start work in a few minutes......I will one day replace my income......I need to start thinking about commissions and drawdowns......I must learn about drawdowns....I don't know what that means yet.......so much to learn I tell ya
Something is weird here.....So one contract correctly timed can bring this much profit....I know its demo but shucks......I keep MT5 on my phone to practice traditional candle stick trading.....its like every day.......or is it because of a very bullish market with USA equities......of course I am pleased with these demo results but it just seems too good to be true......is anyone on this forum placing these trades live and making these results......actually.....I am a bit weirded out
??????????????
I started this account Monday......this is 5 days of trading.......
IS THIS THE REALITY I AM FACING?
I am convinced that demo account do not reflect real market action. I can see why demo trading is very different from live trading....I'm going to have to be extremely cautious when I go live
I am a bit frustrated about my results today. Yes I made good profit and yes it was not luck and no it was not gambling. What irks me is will I be able to do this live. Did live traders see the same price action today that I experienced with the Dow and Russell futures contracts?
It's been bothering me for hours!
It is said that is is a zero sum game. It's been said that demo account are designed in a way to mimic the market. I hear some demo accounts actually mirror live market conditions. Honestly, I am scared. Scared of failing.
Do I want this too much; will I ever be psychologically be prepared?
Well.... I don't know. ...... I'm just nervous and scared. Futures trading like I have witnessed today is something like I have experienced before. I'm gonna go home and study like I never have before. I need my success to be on purpose
You will find that going live does change a lot of things... order fills can be a lot different, slippage, trade management, psychology, much more... I absolutely kill it in SIM, but am breakeven live. Have blown a couple of small accounts proving to myself that the live environment is indeed different than SIM
My best advice would be to prove it to yourself; open a small account in a micro or mini contract to get your feet wet, and don't bet the farm.
Also.. hard to see what's going on in your screen shots, they are very small.
