I would love for there to be a way to have non time based bars (such as range, volume, renko etc.) to display with the X axis (the bottom axis) flowing with time. Thus for example, a Renko indicator that took two minutes would be "fat" versus one that took twenty seconds. Just as if the bars are being painted on a paper that continues to flow with time like a polygraph, EKG etc.
The ideal would be the ability to have a toggle button (like control F7 - or what ever) that toggles from regular non-time volume bars to volume bars "stretched" to time.
Part of the reason for using non time based bars is the ability to see price movement more succinctly. For instance Renko's show price change very well. But there are time I would like to be able to look at a chart and know whether that was a change that took minutes, or hours.
What are you thoughts?
Anybody know of how to do this?
(Since Ninja 7 you CAN have multiple price "graphs" on the same chart. Hence a poor "workaround" I have tried is having a minute "graph" AND a volume bar "graph". But it just changes spacing of the volume bars and is very difficult to read in my opinion. - but you can try it.)
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I waited with the update as I kinda expected this will happen - NT team had to speed up the release due to mandatory SSL change, and unfortunately this kind of external pressure is rarely beneficial. I hope they will sort it out before end of February but chances are rather slim.
We did not speed up any release. It is on pace with our historical beta release schedule. LukeGeniol's report is the 1st report of this kind which is why I asked him to direct it to our forum so we can promptly follow up.
Fine, I don't have any insider's knowledge, just enough development experience to know this stuff happens and could've jumped to the conclusion. Anyway will still take some precautions due to my own experience.
