no there are no fees to transfer between accounts.
you only need $100 in sub account to activate a data feed for that account as opposed to a separate new account which requires full funding.
The reason MC don't have historical is because as I said the historical for NT comes from NTs own servers. NT save it real time from the Rithmic live feed.
Prediction is very difficult, especially about the future - Niels Bohr, Danish Physicist
While this may be correct, SierraChart is also able to view the whole historical data, and I do not believe they store their historical data either. In any event, only MultiChart does not support historical data from Rithmic, only intra-day. And from what the MC guys have said to me, it is unlikely in the future for Rithmic historical data support due to business reasons.
@steve2222 looks like SierraChart uses their own historical data service to supplement Rithmic, I could have sworn it was using Rithmic's historical but looks like they don't provide it for whatever reason.
You must be confusing R-Trader with something else, R-Trader is not web based, it's a standalone Windows application.
Rithmic never provides historical tick data, their API (which both MultiCharts and Ninja are using) has no functionality for it. Only minute bar backfill is available and only until symbol's last trade date.
I am trying to decide between Rithmic and CQG for Ninja Trader v20. I went thru a few related threads here.
In summary, these are the features I am looking for in a datafeed:
1. Daily chart Live, ie, price moves on the chart real-time (ZenFire did not provide a daily chart, had to create a 1440minute chart to simulate Daily bars)
2. CME Group futures/emini data
3. PREM data (S&P500 Premium)
4. ETF data (at least SPY & QQQ)
5. Web trader in addition to NT (to view/adjust open positions, daily/monthly statements, history of trades, etc)
What is the best option for me? Thanks in advance.
Items 1-4 you just described Kinetic , good clean unfiltered data and 100+ symbols
You might look at Interactive Brokers or Tradestation. Your gonna run straight into packeted data stream problems with those, so beware of that limitation.
Item 5 I will leave for the experts, I would think either R-Trader (Rithmic) or CQG-Trader will satisfy #5.
This week, I am running rithmic and cqg on Multicharts on separate machines with same setup , workspaces, charts, and autotrading signals.
I am running ninja on cqg as well.
Sunday night at around 8 pm, all 3 disconnected. Rithmic reconnected after about 20 seconds. Ninja/cqg took around 4 minutes to reconnect and cqg/MC did not reconnect at all. I had to manually reconnect it and restart autotrade.
