What if you use bigger long target and a smaller short target on the ES testing, as the results may be better due to a rising market? Would that make any difference, especially if willing to hold overnight for up to a week?
Am thinking there is a slew of combinations one can try. I have attached the 'quick & dirty' strategy I created to try things out. Simply, whenever there is a PIO bounce, strategy will paint the chart (green/salmon), sound alert, and enter either a long or short trade. You folks are welcome to play with this strategy, add whatever filters you wish, and check out for yourselves what other combinations would work for you.
Hi @PilotTrader thanks, is this for NT7 or NT8? Are there any associated/dependent files one would need to run this and test it out?
TIA
And just a quick edit to say that I appreciate all that @Big Mike has done here and to ALL the contributors that make this site purely AWESOME!!
Something I realized (luckily) and got from first becoming a member is THAT you have to fine tune your own and DON't be nieve as no one on this planet is going to if they had the "holy grail" sell it to you for any amount of money....
I was thinking the same thing but now my curiosity is kicking in, maybe let's see some more data to back this up, it is possible he built an indicator with multiple filters but it's entertaining if nothing else
Yes please keep this thread open. I have the trial that I'm currently testing and so far the entries look pretty decent. Assuming you move your stop up to Breakeven +1, at +5, I've found I have more wins and scratches than I do losses over the last few days. I need more time to test this and would like to hear from others doing the same.
I will try to post some pics of the levels it gives you as well, later on. These are levels that are retested and bounce off of sometimes at lower volume; i.e. a low Volume tap.
I marked potential Entries and Stops. I use a 5 tick stop usually and move it to Breakeven +1 after +5 ticks. Looking at Volume you may not want to Enter #2 due to Declining Buying Volume. Even if you did #3 came along and made up for the loss.
