Hi Fat Tails,
1) Daily
pivot range is from MF sheet. See attached file. I think difference in values can be due to different low, closing prices being used. Based on 10-21-2011 tight
pivot ranges, pivot tracker value was 31 and it was underscored, which means shrinking pivot.
2) I use
opening range from 8.30 am till 9.15 am US eastern time. I think, you are using
pit open @ 9 am. I use A value= 8 ticks and C=13
Today's OR was 88.42 to 87.72. Thus A up= 88.50 and A down= 87.64.
On the attached daily pivot sheet, besides noting down daily pivot ranges, i look at $ risk for each instrument.
1) MF uses ETH (extended session) pivots , will check whether the ACD method requires ETH or RTH pivots
2) Indeed I used the pit open, any reason why you start 30 min early?
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?

i wouldnt say he uses "ETH"... he actually uses somewhat custom sessions, that include some of the ETH... but not for all instruments.. the information about it has been shared already in other threads and on this one, just look at the settings.. they are self explanatory.

1) MF used to use RTH till 4 months ago for crude oil . When they changed, I changed to accommodate all price action after pit close.
2) I use 8.30 am eastern time after i noticed that on some days 8.30 levels can be good Line in the sand . Have not figured out why it does or how often. Seems like when good news comes out of Asian and European markets , for example, china PMI number on Sunday night, traders start accumulating around 8.30 am eastern time - 30 minutes before pit open.

Is that what he calls the Sushi Roll?
I remembered this post from a while back for some reason, and literally just 3 minutes ago found myself reading this article on the Sushi Roll .

@Fat Tails
Which indicator allows you to enter a value for A-UP/Down values to have them plotted as you did in the post I referenced above?

Could you also point me in the direction of the 'Pivot Range ' indicator? The one that takes the HLC/3±(HLC/3)-HL/2, and plots that range .

@forrestang : Pivot range and ACD indicators are unfinished indicators in my arsenal.
