Hi southsea
I dont understand your difficulty getting the order in place in time. The vast majority of the time you know in advance where the entry will be, have plenty of time and can have the order sitting there waiting. It takes a little while to get familiar enough with the setups to get to that point but its not hard. Also Perry has certainly said that the method works with higher timeframes.
Persevere.....:-)
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
First, I want to thank Perry for a great thread. zt379, you got me thinking. I like where this "could" lead. I hope niether of you mind my post.
After many hours of apprently fruitless effort attempting to include the above quoted bar coloring scheme into the DMPlus 3a indicator (without affecting ANY of the other attributes of the indicator - I like them), I have been relegated to beg for someone's mercy.
Could someone add the bar coloring scheme (quoted above and in Post #936) into the DMPlus 3a?
I have included both the DMPlus3a (without the bar coloring script, but other attributes I want to keep) and the DMPlusBCv1 (with the bar coloring scheme, but without some of the original attributes). I include both, because, apparently, I don't know which is easier to change, although, I suspect adding the bar coloring scheme to DMPlus 3a would probably be easier - I am not at that level of programming yet - there are always many compile errors.
Again, thanks to everyone - I am hopeful that this thread will continue to evolve with the exceptional leadership of Perry and everyone's input.
Affliction.
Just to be sure I understand.
If you were to load both versions of DMPlus onto the same chart, and that both DMPlus versions were set to the same panel,
would that give you what you want ?
ie what ever the v3 has and the bar colouring that BCV1 has ?
I believe we are talking the same language. I don't know if you saw the picture of the chart with both DMPluses added (just edited the post). You can see what happens when both versions are added.
I hope I am making sense. If not, do not hesitate to ask - I will try to make it understandable.
ie: it may be easier to comment out the "Text Box" that shows up in the DMPlusBCv1! I have tried that but still can not get it to compile without several errors.
Again, you got me thinking. I really like some of the possibilities you have opened up for this method. I can see them - I just have to get there (with programming help of course)
Ok re chart which I saw after my last post..sorry.
I'm unclear, you have ZinonlagMA and then a DMPLusv3b ? (b) ?
To simplify:::
1. can you post a chart without the ZiNonlagMA ?
2. Confirm if your v3b is same as v3a ?
3. If different put the v3a on the chart ?
4. put the DMPlusBCV1 on chart but on separate panel so I can see the two.?
1. See screen shots below. I use black bacgrounds - could you please make the candle outlines and wicks the same color as the "bar color"? The chart is easier on my eyes anyway. I understand if not.
2. I can confirm that my v3b is the same as v3a - that was me trying to play with the code. 3a is used on the charts below.
3. Used on charts below
4. DMPlusBCV1 is on both charts below (color bars = true and in a seperate panel)
Let me know if this helps or if you need further clarification. I am happy to do anything that will help.
DMPlus_v3a now has bar colour (DMPlus_v3aBC attached)
but I haven't yet worked out how to do the wick colour the same as bar colour.
(I've set it to Silver for now, you can change it but only via Edit ninjascript line 255)
Exported N7
Hope someone can assist..sorry I'm new to this coding..(in fact I might need a lie down now
hope that helps as is..
Now lets see whats up with the Force !
Your chart post#942 has Force settings EMA13 EMA 6.
Mine were set to EMA13 HMA 13.
Maybe that will alter things..let me know ?
Btw as Elite try it with the SharkTrendStochChopv2..
Attached is template for that and some chart descriptions I made,
but you will need to go to a previous post where Mike gave the link for Sharkys SharkTrendChop indicator.
(The rest, I'm pretty sure are non elite)
Its just my take on what Perry has already kindly offered.
Keep it simple trade with trend however you design.
PS: I forgot to set the Calculate Bar Close to False in the DMPlus_v3aBC.
(if you do that when indi is on chart and save as template is should all be ok each time you open up NT)
Hello to all the forums, I made a small change to the indicator CalculateDevelopingValueArea compatible with NT_7. I hope I can help someone. perfect match with the indicator hVWAP.
Best Regards
P.S.
sorry my bad english, I'm Italian
this one fixed the problem, no need to set calculate on bar close to true.
DMPlus_v3aBC (which will overwite the DMPlus_v3a when imported and show as DMPlus_v3a in indi list)
and DMPlusV1BC are in posts above as is ForceIndex__v02FastBC
Load all of those or the alternatives and save chart template and it should be done.
Lastly here is PERRY_AFFLICTION template (got a ring to it no ?)
so you can have it with Afflictions DMPlus_v3a (bar coloured)
I just don't get it, how do you have such a great winning percentage?
I have been sim trading the method for a while and i think i'm doing something wrong, because i'm loosing money.
Do you steel trade the same method, no add ons?
