Why are you using ProRealtime, and not a good charting/trading software ?
It's maybe good enough for daily charts, but really not for intraday trading: the data feed is quite bad (worst than IB), and the sofware itself is also not great at all...
Well, I'm not trading the real futures (when I say CL it's just for convenience), I'm trading CFDs. This is mainly due to tax reasons. I'm not really concerned with how good or bad Pro RealTimes feed is, I only use them as a visual aid for my levels since I use a CFD broker to place my orders, and they don't really care about real prices if you know what I mean. Either I get filled at 99.10 or I don't. Correct tick data in the charts doesn't really help me at all in this case.
Closed my short right before the news, -3 ticks.
edit,
I had the wrong time for the news, lucky me...
Closing the position at 1087.5 since it missed my SL at 1088.5 with an inch.
-2.5 points.
Been slapped around quite a bit today and it was no fun missing that 120 tick drop in CL I had been waiting for all day. Oh well, I'm done for the day, maybe I'll get it tomorrow, maybe not.
