Saw the Spectre today, quite disappointed, probably the last Bond movie I watch.

Yes, it was very mediocre.

Has anyone seen The Martian? No spoilers please, I am waiting until it hits Bluray before I watch it, so probably January.

I am hoping it is good! So far IMDB is showing 8.3 which is really fantastic!

Yes, fantastic film. On Twitter don't read Neil deGrasse Tyson's tweets, he spoiled it for me.

I watched Ex Machina. It has a 7.9 rating on IMDB:

Ex Machina (2015) - IMDb

I think it was 8.2 on IMDB when I first looked at it. Anyway, good movie, but I was expecting more action. I would consider it slow and steady, but no real thriller, no real action. It wasn't boring but I would have been happier if more happened.

I enjoyed the ending, and hope they make a sequel.

Mike

I actually loved this one, although it portrayed the whole concept of robotics and AI way too unrealistically in my view, we won't get to that level in a 100 years.

There's another one called Automata, with Antonio Banderas and Dylan McDermoot. It has more action than Ex Machina but portrays robotic AI in a much more realistic way, and it's a pretty good movie as well in my view.

I would recommend

Sicario - Drama/Action
Spotlight - Drama/Biography
Bridge of Spies - Drama/Biography/Thriller
The Revenant - Epic/Drama/West
The Big Short - Drama/Biography
The Hateful Eight - Drama/West (only if you like Tarantino's films)
Joy - Comedy/Drama
Chappie - Action/Sci-Fi
The Intern - Comedy
The Martian - Space/Adventure/Drama
Ex Machina - Sci-Fi/Drama

Henry Rollins!! need I say more? R rated violent, film noir style and I enjoyed it quite a lot.

Best immortal man movie since The Man from Earth but not as.... thinky.

BIG spoiler alert, don't watch past about 1:25 on trailer as working out who he is will be ruined.
