After spending some time on this board I'm looking to get into futures trading. My current broker deals only in stocks so I will need to find a new broker for my futures trades. Was originally looking into IB, but after so many bad reviews I decided to steer clear of them. Came across "AMP Trading" - anyone here using them? How are executions/reliability/customer service, etc?
Thanks.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
There X-trader platform is good, and they also use Ninja. If your going to use Ninja in sim mode for awhile, be sure and ask AMP if they "unlock" all the features in sim mode. Some brokers lock some features in sim mode. Velocity unlocks everything. Also, Velocity doesn't charge extra to use the "static dome". (some brokers do)
Hmmm. just checked out velocity but they won't open accounts for residents of Canada. MB Trading is the same.... guess I need a Canadian-based broker - any suggestions?
Speak to Collin Palmer. I have an account funded with them, but have not yet pushed button on live trading. Otherwise I have found them good. They are more responsive to phone calls than email.
You will note I am from NZ and had no problem opening an account.
I'm also from Canada and I have an account with Velocity and I am very happy with V. I had no problem in opening the account with them. Give them an e-mail or something and should be OK, I don't believe that you need an canadian broker.
If you want I can give you the e-mail from my representative or so.
All the best
