You are right - this is one of 2 rare situations. There is one rule to stop before a important number/speech etc. and restart right after.
Another rule is when 2 rules are conquering. Such was the case you read about.
You can find in my journal a handful occurences of those exceptions. All along with the rules.

there are 2 gaps from the last 2 'islands'.
To close both we need to see a price of 16033 at least.*

Well - the battle @16k had been seen. - the 16033 to close the gap was also seen in the last 20 minutes. Quite a lot what GFIs1 told in advance.
edit: 19:33 - the high of today was 16043 - nobody stopped that rally. Fine. So far. For those who had the right horse :-)
