Got a new video from Chad Payne (linnsoft.com) where he makes a analysis of the ES to
see data of the last 8 years by WHEN the ES intraday is breaking the overnight high or the overnight low - and that on how much days?
He has put the results of several time charts on the same page.
Interestingly the most important moves (taking 10min intervals) are the first 10 minutes of cash
hour session. The second best result is the fourth 10min. bar - meaning 30 to 40 minutes after
session has started. From there the importance of bigger movements is getting very low.
Why am I writing about this ES statistical stuff in this Dax thread?
Because the development of a future has some important time frames within a day session.
This circumstance I was using to develop my Dax intraday system - and it shows a significant similarity:
09:00 and 10:00 and 10:30 are some important milestones intraday where the direction of
a day is getting visible.
The goal here might be the calculation of results Chad found in the ES on the Dax (if I am
capable to change to the Dax future incl. right timeframes which are very different) and to present
the results here...
I am near 100% sure that both statistical graphs (of ES and Dax) are NOT very different.
I would like to yes, but being really unsure if it will happen without an blow off move prior to take out the year high.
The DAX was at no time so heavily rigged like this year until now. Have never ever seen this behavior before.
There was no trade taken due to the low volume rule.
Have seen that the morning hours this week were very low - more volume came in
after US opening. On our normal trading days the total volume was between 70K
and 91K - all of them with low early volume.
Was ok to stay at the sideline - the virtual three short trades this week would have
given a slightly positive result.
Looking to get in next week.
