There's a very amusing and educational anime called The Legendary Gambler Tetsuya. An old gambler teaches a young and inexperienced one how to become good... and the difference between luck and skill. There's lot of interesting illustrative situations. Compulsory to watch for traders, especially if you're not consistently winning yet. (You can find a torrent for it if you look.)

what i was getting as was that he put himself in gaming(market)/life positions for good things to happen.. which for most ppl is perceived as luck.. 'i create my own luck' is just a nicer way of saying it.
