@Deucalion
I didn't know you were a roughneck?
Thanks for sharing your experience, interesting stuff. I've never even been on a patch, and I don't know much about it. I'm quite fascinated by some of the technology employed, though.
The "Badger" is definitely a cool concept/project. You pointed out several It seems that they may finally be able to get it off the ground:

Maybe I need to buy back in? I made a ton of money on that on their IPO in 06. It went from NOK 20 to 60 in a couple of months. Then I sold out and traveled the around the world. That was my MO when I started trading: Find new technologies I thought would lure out enough hopeful suckers to get a nice initial boost of the stock, and, if I were lucky, have a lasting impact on the industry in which they operated. I miss those days, now all I see is risk, risk and risk...
"necessity drives innovation". Isn't that the truth? A lot of bad things can be said of fossil fuel extraction and wars (yeah, I just lumped those in the same category), but both has spurred invention of some very useful technologies, which later have been instrumental for the advancement of modern societies.
Now, if only the US would release the flying saucer technology they stole from ze Germans after WWII...
@Lampert
Yea, I think we basically agree. I'm quite concerned with pollution in general, not only CO2, though.
The world needs more Teslas, but it seems that there are only Edisons out there...
