It is my great pleasure to announce that Mr. Jack Schwager, the famous author of the Market Wizards series, will be presenting a webinar on nexusfi.com (formerly BMT) on Saturday, June 30th @ 2:00 PM Eastern US as part of our nexusfi.com (formerly BMT) 3-year anniversary!
This is a real honor!
The webinar will be setup as a "Q&A session". This means we will focus on answering questions from the audience as much as possible the entire webinar.
We will also be giving away (10) copies of his newest Market Wizards book "Hedge Fund Market Wizards".
More information on his books can be found on his website:
Jack Schwager is a recognized industry expert in futures and hedge funds and the author of a number of widely acclaimed financial books. He is currently the co-portfolio manager for the ADM Investor Services Diversified Strategies Fund, a portfolio of futures and FX managed accounts. He is also an advisor to Marketopper, an India-based quantitative trading firm, supervising a major project that will adapt their trading technology to trade a global futures portfolio.
Previously, Mr. Schwager was a partner in the Fortune Group, a London-based hedge fund advisory firm, which specialized in creating customized hedge fund portfolios for institutional clients. Mr. Schwager was one of three partners with direct responsibility for selecting managers and constructing portfolios. The Fortune Group was fully acquired by the Close Brothers Group, a U.K. merchant bank, in 2010. His previous experience includes 22 years as Director of Futures research for some of Wall Street’s leading firms and ten years as the co-principal of a CTA.
Mr. Schwager has written extensively on the futures industry and great traders in all financial markets. He is perhaps best known for his best-selling series of interviews with the greatest hedge fund managers of the last two decades: Market Wizards (1989), The New Market Wizards, (1992), and Stock Market Wizards (2001). Mr Schwager’s first book, A Complete Guide to the Futures Markets (1984) is considered to be one of the classic reference works in the field. He later revised and expanded this original work into the three-volume series, Schwager on Futures, consisting of “Fundamental Analysis” (1995), “Technical Analysis” (1996), and “Managed Trading” (1996). He is also the author of Getting Started in Technical Analysis (1999), part of John Wiley’s popular “Getting Started” series.
Mr. Schwager is a frequent seminar speaker and has lectured on a range of analytical topics including the characteristics of great traders, investment fallacies, hedge fund portfolios, managed accounts, technical analysis, and trading system evaluation. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Brooklyn College (1970) and an Master of Arts degree in Economics from Brown University (1971).

Tip
EVERYONE - TAKE NOTE - PRIZE INFO BELOW!
The (10) book prizes for this webinar will be handled differently. In order to have a chance to win one of the autographed books, you need to write a post in this thread.
Your post must contain a question for Jack Schwager to answer on Saturday.
I will randomly pick ten posts using a Random Number Generator (random.org) and will announce those winners after the webinar is over on Saturday.
If you write multiple posts, only one will be considered for the contest.
Please take the time to write some good questions for Saturday.
I cannot guarantee that every question that is posted here will be asked of Jack on Saturday, it will be dictated by time and subjects.
I am fluent in 4 languages but can't type for a hoot with only 2 working fingers, no kidding. Perhaps a fair way for the Webinar giveaways is a random drawing from the names of participants.
I noticed in Yesterday's NT's typing contest at least two people won twice among at least 100 participants. How unlikely is that?
It was quite interesting, but there were 17 prizes so that increased the odds. Remember, by the time we got to the last question #12, we were looking for the 12th right answer. So it had nothing to do with speed or typing skills.
With regards to how we will handle prizes for this Jack Schwager webinar, we will announce it later. It will be a bit different than normal.
We are expecting more than 500 for this event. Please register early, and also log in early. I will open the webinar room 30 minutes early ahead of the event time, and I recommend you log in then and do not leave in order to secure your position in the queue.
I won't be able to attend but if someone would like to ask this question that would be great - thanks in advance.
"Jack you've interviewed some amazing traders and some of them very reclusive.
The gentleman who reads and re-reads "Zen and the Art of Archery" what did you notice the most about him?
Relaxed? In the zone? Did he use visualization? etc.
-Many thanks Jack."
Nice Mike I am reading "Hedge Fund Market Wizards" now. He is such an excellent interviewer. Much to be gleaned from his books.
Way to go.
"The day I became a winning trader was the day it became boring. Daily losses no longer bother me and daily wins no longer excited me. Took years of pain and busting a few accounts before finally got my mind right. I survived the darkness within and now just chillax and let my black box do the work."
