Scaling into higher contracts should simply be the result of solid money management techniques. Many different ways to do that but using a systematic process for scale takes out the fear factor to a very large degree. Allows you to maintain control and avoid spiraling draw downs while taking advantage of the miracle of leverage. I start all my systems at 1 contract and using fixed ratio deltas derived from stats scale up and down. If a system sits at 1 contract for a long time so be it. If the market is giving in such a way that scale happens quickly so be it. No stress either way. Just one big happy probabilities game.

"The day I became a winning trader was the day it became boring. Daily losses no longer bother me and daily wins no longer excited me. Took years of pain and busting a few accounts before finally got my mind right. I survived the darkness within and now just chillax and let my black box do the work."
