I've difficulties to identify a colocation place and broker for eurex related trades. I only have an advantage (compared to chicaco based colocation) if the data feed and the execution is based on europe servers. I think IB has swiss based servers, but i haven't a clue if any data feed provider host their feeding servers in frankfurt.
Can anybody share their knowledge about this topic?
Thanks,
Koepisch
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I'm currently called cqg and equinix - both aren't availible yet (Friday 5PM). But i'm afraid that the normal retail customer will have a hard (expensive) start in europe if he want to be colocated at the eurex. But there is no point in hosting without direct data feed connectivity.
Velocity told me that they have data-only servers in Frankfurt, and also Zenfire has their servers in Frankfurt (though you can access european markets with Zenfire only if you clear with RCG). CQG has servers in London, not in Frankfurt, and nowhere else in Europe,as far as I know.
IB has a server in Switzerland (Zug) and nowhere else in Europe.
Patsystems and TT have servers in Europe (TT more than one, don't know about Patsystems).
Me too would like to know which brokers have servers in Europe, for executio and realtime data, though I don't want to co-locate.
I'm also looking at this, some of my VPS customers would like to have a server for Eurex instruments, but I didn't find any "good enough" provider so far.
It's not so hard to find cheap hosters in Europe, but the service of what I've tested so far was not compatible with trading activities...
Advantage futures just told me they are shutting down their servers in Frankfurt. If you have many traders looking for it, maybe you could convince Advantage to keep their servers in Frankfurt.
Advantage should be good for technology/inrastructure (I've heard that, haven't tried)
To do what the OP wants you basically need a data feed with servers in Germany AND a broker who operates their risk management servers in Germany as well.
