What I need is it tested on iPhone, iOS, Android, Chrome, Firefox, IE, Safari, Opera -- as many versions, old and new, as possible.
What you are looking for:
1) Any stuttering or slow playback?
2) Pause and resume - does it work or does it skip? Try leaving it paused for a bit.
3) Full screen mode, does it work?
4) Seeking, can you skip forward and backward in time instantly?
5) Quality, does the video quality look good?
I've done what testing I can, but have limited versions I can test against.
The only known issue right now is with Internet Explorer, as usual. You can't skip ahead with IE9 until it finishes downloading the file. I'll keep working on a solution for that, I am 95% sure I know how to fix it, but it will take some work so will have to wait. If anyone can test on IE10, I am thinking it will probably work out of the box. I don't have IE10. If anyone can test with IE8 and let me know, that would be great.
When reporting feedback, please tell me your browser and the version of your browser. You can click Alt then Tools or Help on most browsers then "About" to get the version number.
If using a tablet or phone, please give me OS version if you can.
I need some feedback from you guys. Converting the entire webinar library to HTML5 is a massive undertaking, I need to make sure this test scenario is working well across the board before moving forward, so please take a few minutes and do some thorough testing and report back.
The top video and bottom video are configured differently. Top video is "FT71", bottom is "NT8".
I need to know if they BOTH work, or if one behaves differently than the other in terms of being able to seek forward in time instantly, full screen, or if one loads and the other one gives an error or doesn't load at all.
I tested on my Nexus 10 with Chrome and it worked fine. Try installing Chrome. And test requesting the Desktop version vs the Mobile version, in browser options.
Hmm, I tested on my Droid RAZR on Android 4.1 on both the regular Browser and Chrome, neither worked. I thought I had that working earlier... but all this stuff is so finicky it is hard to make everything work simultaneously.
I was using dolphin browser. It, seems to kinda work when using Chrome. No video loads, just the player. Like I can slide the thing around but it doesn't seem to be buffering anything.
I can duplicate the problem on my Razr. I will test later with my Nexus 4 which has Android 4.2 like the Nexus 10. I guess there is some kind of change at 4.2 where it starts working, but I will try to get it working on < 4.2 as well.
