Hi @srgtroy
I am using the free pocket app for this. It makes a copy of a wanted to read later page which you can read when offline. And if for any reason the page online had been vanished - it is still fully readable with pocket. You can put your own tags on any article and it makes an archive automatically. If you are searching for a theme you just put a keyword and get all page results. From there you can copy/paste any text out of it into new posts for example.
The app is cross platform - so you have the reading stuff also on the phone when you are not at the keyboard.
Finished the weekly Unanswered Questions newsletter. Every Saturday it will go out without my attention (thankfully).
This is really important to me -- I want to make sure these people receive some help/answers. It's also important for the site, it helps us tremendously to rank on Google when we answer these questions.
Wow dude you were reading my mind, I'll second this... my solution has been to copy and paste them into my journal, where they can get lost again LOL. Would be really helpful for researching subjects, etc.
So, I have it done. But am having trouble figuring out how to hook it into the UserCP. Never done that before. I am about 50% there, but it's late so will finish tomorrow.
The idea will be simple. To the right of each post, next to the Report Post icon, there will be an icon to Bookmark Post. Then in your UserCP, there is a new "List Bookmarks" option (it's already there, just broken).
That will list each Post you've saved, along with the date of post, author, thread title, and preview text from the post. Plus a checkbox to delete it.
Awesome, Mike, its already obvious I'm not the only one who will appreciate it. There are a lot of great discussions going on simultaneously on this forum and sometimes its hard to keep track. This will really help!
