Personally, I am waiting for Xbox 720/Durango. I sold my PS3 and X360. I always preferred the user experience on the X360, even if it was technically inferior in terms of hardware spec. Hardware isn't everything. I did like the PS3 controller a lot more than the X360. Hopefully that is remedied on the X720.
I think Microsoft "gets it" when it comes to realizing the Xbox is much more than just a game machine. It's a entertainment hub for all things internet, social, video, games, family, and more. PS3 never got even close to that.
I also think Kinect 2 will be a game changer. If you look at the "PS Eye", it is more similar to the "PS Move" vs the original Kinect, which is just laughable. There is no comparison. I think this is the step in the right direction of complete immersion with the environment.
Last, Microsoft is a stable company on solid ground, while Sony has endured a lot of losses and a lot of missteps of late. This affects the amount of resources they are able to put into their product. In the end, it could drastically effect the amount of quality games available on one platform vs the other, which will seal the deal for most.
