Sorry to hear you didn't make it. I failed my first combine last Friday and I am still recovering from it. When I can summon enough courage I will write a review too on TST Combine. For now, have a good rest!

Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
The strategies are OK, my problem is purely psychological. I am risk averse, impatient and contrarian in nature. That is not particularly good for a trader:
1. Risk aversion: I don't like to go big, but when everything is aligned, you just have to swing it.
2. Impatience: money is made by sitting on your hands. It was true 100 years ago, it is still true.
3. Contrarian: It is good when the market is in a range, but hurts you when the market is trending.... I have to learn to jump on breakouts/trends and just ride them...
One other thing is, the commission for 4 weeks was $1870... That is a killer if one is jumping in and out, that's why I think the Combine is actually better for intraday swingers....
I am going to practice at least one, maybe 2 weeks (hopefully not more needed), and I don't sign up for another combine unless I can make consistently $1000-1500 per week...After all, if I can't make it in sim mode, what are the chances I can make it in the Combine?
Pedro, thanks for all your posts and good luck going forward with the next combine.
I am having some difficulty putting together the 'correct' rules for the combine. There seem to be discrepancies among participants. Do you have or know of a list of the correct rules set out in a coherent way? Would be really helpful.
Thanks again
JS
I am aware that there are several Combine Journals in the Elite section, but since I am not an Elite member (I am still deciding how long I will stick around), thus I can't read them. The purpose of this thread is to post your Combine results and …
That one gives you common sense approach to the Combine and discusses some ideas that helps you to pass it easier.
I don't really have the sets of rules written in one place. They are on the TST site. I personally think they have way too many rules and they are both confusing and not entirely obvious (like going below the max. DD) Anyhow, one has to understand that basicly there are 2 sets of rules:
1. Qualifying for a roll over/redo.
2. Passing the Combine.
The rules for #2 are basicly everything including the #1 rules, plus some extra ones what they call Scouting Criteria. You can find them on the TST site:
