Hope to post and discuss stock swing trades with like minded traders.
Opened and closed 3 trades this week. All losses; but I kept them small. AOL GNTX and PCL
Don't fight the market. Today I bought SDS.

Just sticking with SDS until the market turns for now.
I don’t short individual stocks because Canadian Tax law treats short sales as income rather than capital gains. In a down market I trade inverse ETFs . I’d like to be able to trade the sectors but the problem is very few trade much volume.

I’m still holding SDS; came within a couple cents of being stopped out today. Probably get hit on Monday.

Just as I predicted. Out a few cents below my planned stop.

You can only embed images, not websites. The URL you tried is not an image, it's a website.
Click the word screenshot in my post for help. Also there is no need to upload the image externally, just attach it directly to your post.

Today I made the mistake of entering a trade prior to earnings release.
I have a set it and forget it trade entry. I placed the order last night and neglected to check the earnings date.
I placed the stop limit order at 26.60 with a bracket order attached. Stop at 26.10 and target at 28.60.
I missed the order on the way up, which has happened in the past, and caught it on the way down.
My stop was set @ 26.10 but wasn't filled until 25.62 (the exact low) 1second later. OUCH 1 second. So much for liquidity.
My bad for missing the earnings date. I know better. Just a warning to others that anything can and will happen. A stop might not save you.
Then to add insult to injury it shot right back up and hit the target.
Oh the joys of swing trading.
