I am introducing a new initiative called "20 Questions: Trader Interviews". My goal is to interview a large number of traders on and off futures.io (formerly BMT) so that all members can be exposed to varying methodologies and trading styles.
The series will be presented via audio+video, similar to a Webinar format. The "live" interview itself will be private between myself and the interviewee, but the recording will be posted on futures.io (formerly BMT) for everyone to benefit from after the interview is over.
I will prepare 20 questions for each interview. There is also a 30 minute time limit on the interview. I realize these somewhat contradict each other, but I wanted to purposely do it this way so that we try and move the interview along at a rapid pace. Some questions will have very short answers. Some will be more detailed. In both cases, I will do my best to move things along rapidly and encourage the detailed answers to come in the form of a futures.io (formerly BMT) post or thread or a full webinar at a later date.
The questions will be emailed to the interviewee before hand so that they have time to prepare a higher quality as well as "compact" (time) answer, and also so that I can gain more approval requests for interviews.
There will be screen sharing from the interviewee, it will be up to them as to whether they show their charts or if they want to prepare a few slides in a Powerpoint. Again, there will be a 30 minute time limit and my goal will be to ask as many questions as possible, and receive as many answers as possible, during that time. It will not be delivered as a "presentation" or typical webinar.
I already have received approval from around a dozen traders on futures.io (formerly BMT) who have agreed to the interviews. I will also be reaching out to traders outside of futures.io (formerly BMT).
The interviews will be posted in this thread, so click Follow Thread at the top.
If anyone has comments or suggestions, or wants to share a list of questions they feel would be good to ask, please reply to this thread.
I've done some interviews in the past. If anyone wants to interview me they are free to contact me.
I try to keep my opinion to myself as much as I can during webinars and such, but those that have watched the 100+ of them know that I do occasionally share my full opinion about something.
